Sustainability Statement

Eco-friendly branded merchandise for a positive brand impact

At Project Merchandise, sustainability is central to everything we do. From the products we carry, to the transparency of our reporting, we’re committed to taking ever more positive steps to do business in a way that’s better for people and planet, and we believe this should be the norm.

To reduce the impact of our activities for people and planet, we’ve committed to the following strategy:

  • Ensuring all products we carry conform to at least one of nine product values, which assess materials, sourcing, and social good.
  • Considering the packaging for all products we carry as part of our selection process, working with our suppliers to push for more sustainable packaging.
  • Exercising our due diligence when onboarding new products and suppliers, going the extra mile to provide verifiable impact for people and planet by seeking out third -party certification wherever possible.
  • Ensuring staff are trained and fluent in the language of sustainability. Providing the tools to develop an awareness of sustainable practices that apply at work, in their personal lives and their community.
  • Sustainable business means more than just the environment. To us that means ensuring that all employees are paid a salary in line with the living wage and reflective of their importance to the company, and providing additional wellness benefits that focus on happiness, health & productivity.
  • Actively supporting the local community, to create a positive ripple effect that uplifts individuals, strengthens relationships, and fosters a brighter future for all. This is most evident in our local sourcing practices and culture of volunteerism.
  • Reducing the impact of our direct activities by increasingly procuring renewable energy where possible as a hybrid business, and utilising workspaces that share our sustainable values.
  • Working with our supply chain to find suitable end-of-life solutions for our products in an effort to reduce waste to landfill.
  • Maintaining our Carbon Neutral status as we strive towards Net Zero, measuring and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible, before supporting carbon avoidance schemes to offset whatever emissions remain.
  • Introducing systems to monitor and report on our sustainable journey openly and transparently, and in line with recognised frameworks such as ISO14001, B Corp.

Championing sustainability is an individual responsibility for all of us, at every level within our organisation. We are committed to ensuring full compliance with this sustainability strategy and any other legal requirements, monitoring and reviewing our performance, and taking corrective action where necessary.
