Slavery and human trafficking have no place in a modern society, and we recognise our responsibility to be aware and alert of the signs and impacts of these harmful practices, to educate ourselves, and to collaborate with our supply chain to ensure it is free of any such activity.

Project Merchandise is committed to openness and honesty in and about the way we do business. This means doing the right thing by all stakeholders at all levels of our supply chain, operating in a fair and sustainable manner, and protecting the people who create the products we provide.

To ensure modern slavery does not take place in any part of our business or supply chain, the Company has adopted this voluntary Modern Slavery Statement as part of our commitment to ethical trading and responsible business conduct.

Project Agency Ltd, trading as Project Merchandise, is a sustainability and digital centric promotional merchandise company engaging clients with sustainably superior alternatives to the often-throwaway merchandise commonly used to promote brands to client s and consumers. We believe that we can deliver compelling brand promotions while having a net positive social and environmental impact.

Our supply chain consists of Tier 1 & 2 suppliers. We work directly with retail brands, importers, and manufacturers based in the UK/EU/USA, as well as manufacturers in the Far East, on a long-term basis. Our suppliers develop specialist products and are responsible for their own supply chains.

Project Merchandise strictly prohibits the use of slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain.

We are committed to implementing systems and controls aimed at ensuring that there is no modern slavery, servitude, forced compulsory labour or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any way connected to our operations.

The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our organisation or supply chain is the responsibility of all members of staff. Workers must not engage in, facilitate or fail to report any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.

We have systems in place to identify, assess, and mitigate risk. All suppliers are required to supply their own policies on this matter as part of the onboarding process, and any concerns that may arise in our operations are reviewed at Board level on a monthly basis.

In the event of any infringement, we ensure the protection of whistle blowers.

We have a zero tolerance towards human trafficking and slavery, and towards any supplier found to be engaging in any practices that constitute these acts. We expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.

If we find a supplier to have breached this policy we will take the appropriate action, considering the severity and what we consider to be the best outcome for the impacted individuals. This may range remediation to the termination of the relationship.

All Project Merchandise employees undertake annual modern slavery training to ensure they understand how our practices can directly impact suppliers and their workforce, and are able to identify warning signs, in order to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our operations.

Training materials are kept on internal share drive and employees for employees to access and make reference to at any time.

Supplier performance is measured and reviewed on a monthly basis as part of the Board meeting agenda.

Where applicable we request third party audit certification from our suppliers such as Amfori BSCI, SA8000 and SMETA reports.

By 2030 we will make it a mandatory requirement for all suppliers of products and services based outside of the UK/EU/USA to provide evidence of such audits.

Although the Company’s turnover is below the statutory threshold that requires a Modern Slavery Statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have chosen to publish this statement voluntarily as part of our commitment to integrity and responsible sourcing.
