We’ve Partnered With Ecologi To Give You A Sure Root To More Sustainable Promotions
As a sustainably focused business, we don’t see why promotional merch should cost the earth. In fact, our mission goes well beyond merchandise alone.
Project Merchandise is leading the push for more sustainable promotional products, but we’re also engaging with suppliers and customers alike to do more. With your help, we aim to move towards more sustainable practices. This means making greener products more accessible, affordable, and desirable.
This week we celebrated our 1st birthday. And to mark the occasion, we funded the planting of 2,500 trees, also offsetting 50 tonnes of CO2e. That’s equivalent to 38 long-haul flights
And that’s just the beginning of our climate positive pledge.
As part of our efforts to reduce the impact of our operations, we’ve committed to an industry-leading policy to offset our footprint, both now, and in the future.
We’re supporting global reforestation projects in order to benefit the earth and local communities, planting trees to help combat the effects of climate change.
What does our climate positive pledge mean for you?
For every £500 you spend with us, we will plant 25 trees and offset 0.5 tonnes of CO2e.
We’re able to do this with the help of our partners Ecologi, an environmental organisation. They’re dedicated to reforestation projects and carbon offsetting through the development of renewable energy sources across the globe.
The trees are a great story alone. Planting is undertaken with Eden Restoration Projects, who foster self-sustainable and healthy forest systems, building local economies and empowering locals in the process. These locals are trained to plant and maintain tree saplings as they grow, ensuring a brilliant survival rate for your trees.
So why do more than just plant trees?
It’s important to recognise that the trees we’re funding will be planted in their infancy, so they’re a little while away from doing their thing… Consider them something for the future.
To make sure we’re directly impacting atmospheric CO2 levels now, we’re also offsetting CO2 emissions today. This is through the purchase of verified carbon offsets that prevent greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere (such as renewable energy projects which displace existing fossil fuel energy).
These projects are ongoing in the here and now, meaning that together, we can start our climate positive journey, immediately.
