Beyond crafting quality merch, our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of what we hope to achieve as a business.
In 2022 we began our journey to carbon neutrality. After working tirelessly to measure the greenhouse gas emissions of our operations and those of our supply chain, we were thrilled to be verified in early 2024.
How did we measure our emissions?
We gathered and scrutinised data on the emissions released from our everyday activities across all three scopes, taking into account the full life cycle of our products all the way from raw material extraction to delivery:
Scope 1: Direct emissions from our operations
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the energy we use
Scope 3: Indirect emissions from our supply chain,
including material sourcing and product transportation
For the period of September 1st 2022 to August 31st 2023, our verified emissions amounted to 815.32 tonnes of CO2e.
The accuracy and credibility of our emissions calculations were verified by independent assessors Control Union Certifications Germany GmbH against the PAS 2060:2014 standard, an internationally recognised framework for carbon neutrality.
With measurement completed, a plan of action to reduce where possible and offset the remainder was formed, with this reported publicly for full transparency.
How are we reducing emissions?
We have set ambitious targets to reduce our emissions intensity and hope to hit these by following our carbon reduction plan, outlined in our supporting statement, and by continuing to explore more sustainable practices across our operations.
